Last Quarter Memories:
Winter Wednesdays '02 -- pg 1

The club scheduled three Wednesday night YRES, called "Winter Wednesdays," on the Wednesday following club meetings in January, February and March this year.

The January walk was a Queen Anne YRE leaving from Seattle Inn near Seattle Center.  This 2+ walk began with an ascent part way up Queen Anne Hill before leveling off into neighborhoods and parks.  The night was crisp and clear and the views were outstanding of Puget Sound, Myrtle Edwards park and the Seattle Harbor, Seattle Center and downtown.

The February walk was in West Seattle, a YRE starting at a 7-11 store.   It was a perfect evening -- clear and not too cold.  The group who did the walk ended up getting very spread out, but everyone enjoyed the gorgeous sunset as we walked right alongside the water near and at Alki Beach.  On the way back we were treated to great views of the lights of downtown Seattle.

Hope you will join us for the last Winter Wednesday walk, March 20th.  See our "Next Quarter Preview" in this issue for more details.
