Walking the Great Northwest

Club Newsletter, 1st Qtr 2002

On the Trail in the Northwest:
Orting YR920:  Foothills Trail -- pg 2

After a time the river turns away from the Trail.  You pass some farmlands and a rural road before reaching the turn-around point, an old railroad bridge.

This is another outstanding rails-to-trails walk with idyllic  Washington scenery, a nice, easy and fairly level walking surface, and a rural setting that can be enjoyed any time of year and in any weather.

Thanks to the Daffodil Valley Volkssport Assoc. for this gorgeous YRE.

Right: a farm that's on the Trail and pics of the Trail.
